I was unpleasantly surprised when I opened a box of these crackers and saw flat triangles that didn't resemble the crackers I was expecting. I was doubly disappointed by the texture and flavor. I thought perhaps something went wrong with the batch, so I bought another box a week or so later, and to my dismay, the crackers were just as bad. I googled "TownHouse crackers bad" to see if I was alone and felt "seen" when I read reviews by people who once loved the crackers as I did, and felt duped and betrayed by TownHouse's choice to change the recipe. I can count on one hand the number of times I've written a review for a product or service. In the list of things for me to be upset about, this is near the bottom, but at the same time, it feels symptomatic of a larger issue that enrages me: companies cutting costs to raise profits with no concern for the consumer. I recently tried Wegmans' pita crackers, and they're really good. I'll be buying them from now on. From what their employees say, they're also a great company to work for.

We used to eat them all the time - favorite road trip snack ! Now the crackers are flat - unleavened and not as crispy. What a disappointment ! !

Somewhere in Battle Creek, in some big conference room, a bunch of smarty-pants MBAs sat around and talked about "fully loaded customer acquisition cost," "cost per unit," and "Payback Period."
Somewhere in that discussion, one of those pencil pushers suggested that making the Pita Crackers a little thinner and using a little less flavoring powder would reduce the unit cost by...geez, I dunno...a penny per box?
But here's the deal - the crackers ain't what they used to be. So long as I see that a "serving" is now 15 grams instead of 16 grams, I'll know I'm still looking at the "new" Pita crackers.
So please tell your smarty-pants MBAs to start figuring out the cost per lost customer.
Your pal,
Doug Boynton

My husband and I have lived these crackers for years, they were perfect! Opened a new box and immediately knew they were different : flatter, paler, LOTS of broken pieces. The taste and texture now are both terrible. They are hard and tasteless. Why would they change the recipe? These were worth the price (which has gone WAY up). But will not buy again if they do not change. If this was the Keebler version of “new Coke,” please go back to Classic!

Bring back the old recipe. If you don't I'm not going to buy these anymore. They're not even pita chips now

These are now terrible! They are not ideal for dipping, look like a sad pathetic cracker that does not represent Townhouse at all. They used to look and taste like a pita but now they are like cardboard that crumbles. Not appetizing at all!
No, just no. Change the recipe

I purchased these crackers for years and enjoyed them immensely, but the new recipe and appearance is bad. Why would you change a perfectly good thing. The only thing that remained the same is the picture in the box which the cracker/chip no longer resembles.
Nothing good about these chips
